 Job Summary

 

Ashbrook Independent School is seeking enthusiastic, caring, and creative Substitute Teachers.

 

Major Duties and Responsibilities

 

Substitute Teachers will:

  • Deliver instruction to students as designed by the classroom teacher’s lesson plans. Develop or create lessons based on curriculum materials when needed.
  • Maintain a positive and caring classroom environment favorable to learning; Supervise and ensure the safety and health of children in the classroom.
  • Collaborate with staff throughout the school.
  • Communicate proactively and positively with parents as needed.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge and experience with teaching elementary and/or middle school students.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in teacher education
  • PREFERRED: Professional teacher licensure in good standing and that is transferable to the State of Oregon.

Compensation:

Hourly wage rate of $19.90 per hour
